About Hack2Week

Hack2Week is a two-week, field-based research sprint organised by the Adani Institute of Digital Technology Management in collaboration with Adani Healthcare. This initiative invites startups to explore and reimagine India’s healthcare ecosystem using evidence-based insights and in-depth research.

The goal is to design a feasible, subscription-based healthcare model tailored for

  1. Indian healthcare provider ecosystem (hospitals, diagnostic centres, imaging centres, clinics, pharmacies, etc.)
  2. To provide members coverage for end-to-end healthcare (preventive, primary, secondary, tertiary, quaternary, rehab, etc.)

The startups will conduct research in their geographical locations, and they need not visit Ahmedabad until the event ends. The winners will be felicitated in Ahmedabad by senior Adani leaders in an on-campus event.

Who Can Participate?

  • Eligible Participants: All startups passionate about healthcare
  • Team Composition: Teams should consist of 3-5 members, including at least one healthcare expert and one financial expert.

Hack2Week Research and Problem

  • Identify System Gaps: Teams will start by identifying critical gaps in India’s healthcare system related to affordability, accessibility, and preventive care adoption through field research and direct engagement with stakeholders.
  • Uncover Barriers: Building on the identified gaps, they will uncover barriers to preventive care adoption, such as cost constraints, low awareness, lack of trust, and behavioural hesitations, using user interviews, secondary research, and expert insights.
  • Analyze Healthcare Models: Next, they will analyze existing subscription-based healthcare models, both in India and globally, to uncover best practices, innovative frameworks, and lessons learned that can address the identified gaps.

Expected Deliverables

After the sprint, teams should present the following:

  • A well-researched problem statement, supported by user insights and data-driven findings.
  • A clearly defined target population, outlining their specific pain points, unmet needs, and healthcare challenges.
  • A comprehensive analysis of barriers and opportunities related to preventive care adoption and healthcare access.
  • research-backed healthcare subscription model document, with clearly defined value propositions and actionable implementation steps.
  • It is preferred that startups map and evaluate key stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, insurers, policymakers, startups, and NGOs, to understand their roles, needs, and challenges, with the goal of highlighting systemic gaps and opportunities for improvement.

The research format will be given after the registration phase is complete.
